The Stories Behind QADIM Archive Graphics

Archive Graphics begins with symbols carried through memory, objects and inherited stories. Each design takes one reference and reshapes it into a contemporary graphic made to be worn today. This is a short introduction to the seven designs in the collection — and where to read each story in full.

Naqsh — the engraving

Naqsh means the engraving. It holds a simple idea: what is carved with patience outlives what is printed in haste. It is the quietest design in the collection, and in many ways the one the whole archive is built on. Naqsh is available in black and sand.

Al Asil — the noble horse

Al Asil is the noble Arabian horse — speed, strength, and a lineage that was never for sale. The graphic keeps that sense of bearing rather than motion for its own sake. Available in black and sand.

Sahm — the arrow

Sahm is the arrow, aimed by the heart before the hand. It stands for focus, direction and quiet strength, drawn as a single considered mark. Available in black and sand.

Tawabie — the stamps

Tawabie draws on vintage Egyptian stamps: small squares that carried whole lives. It is a design about memory and identity — the ordinary paper that outlasts the moment it recorded. Available in sand.

Jambiya — the inherited blade

Jambiya takes the blade of inheritance and the mark of belonging: a design about honour, protection and legacy. Available in sand.

Safar — the journey

Safar means the journey — movement and memory stitched into one garment. It is the design that reads most like a record of travel rather than a single object. Available in sand.

Seven Eagles

Seven Eagles brings together the wisdom of Luqman and the watch of Horus — renewal, protection and sight. It is the most layered graphic in the collection, and rewards a closer look. Available in black and sand.

Black or sand

Most of the designs are offered in two colourways, and they read differently. Black gives the artwork the most contrast and suits darker, tonal outfits. Sand is softer and warmer, and sits more quietly under a jacket or overshirt. Each tee carries the design across the front and back, so it works as a considered piece rather than a slogan.
